Hi, I’m the mom behind FiveKidsOneMom — a full-time working mom raising five kids, running on caffeine, stubborn determination, and the belief that survival still counts as success.

I didn’t start this blog because I had everything figured out.
I started it because I didn’t.

Most days, life looks like packed lunches, school runs, work deadlines, overflowing laundry baskets, and the constant mental maths of “can we afford this?”. Some days I feel strong and capable. Other days I feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and one minor inconvenience away from crying in the kitchen.

And that’s the truth.

FiveKidsOneMom exists because I wanted a space that felt real — not polished, not perfect, and definitely not pretending that motherhood is easy or affordable.

I write about:

  • surviving motherhood when you’re outnumbered

  • working full-time while being the default parent

  • saving money when there’s more month than wage

  • choosing peace over chaos

  • and learning to stop accepting the bare minimum

This isn’t a blog about “having it all”.
It’s about doing your best with what you have.

I know what it’s like to feel lonely in a full house.
To feel pressure to cope quietly.
To wonder if everyone else is managing better than you.

They’re not.
They’re just not talking about it.

Here, we talk about it.

You’ll find honest stories, practical money-saving tips, and moments of humour in the middle of the mess. No judgment. No unrealistic routines. No shaming. Just real life, shared honestly.

If you’re a mom who’s tired but still showing up, stretched thin but still trying, and figuring things out one day at a time — you’re in the right place.

Welcome to FiveKidsOneMom.
We’re surviving it together.
