I’m Back — and Honestly, I Don’t Know How We’re Still Standing.
Well… look who decided to show up again.
I know, I know — it’s been a while. If blogs collected dust, this one would’ve been buried under a mountain of school letters, lost socks, and half-eaten biscuits by now. I could give you a long list of reasons why I’ve been away — life, kids, work, sanity (or lack thereof) — but honestly, it’s been a mix of survival mode and couldn’t string a sentence together without caffeine and tears.
But I’ve missed this. I’ve missed being honest, having a laugh, and connecting with other moms who also wonder how we got tricked into thinking “having it all” meant doing it all. Spoiler: it doesn’t.
So yes, I’m back. Not because I’ve got it all together (still don’t, never will), but because I’ve got so much to share — the messy, funny, frustrating, and sometimes heart-squeezing reality of life as a mom of five.
What’s Coming Next?
Here’s a little taste of what’s to come — because if you’ve ever felt like you’re one lost shoe away from a breakdown, you’re in the right place:
-
“What I Learned from Taking a Break (Besides How to Cry in the Carpark)”
A real talk about burnout, boundaries, and why doing nothing sometimes saves everything. -
“Mom Life Unfiltered: The Bits Instagram Doesn’t Show”
The moments between the smiles — the chaos, the crumbs, and the questionable smells. -
“Rediscovering Myself (Somewhere Under the Pile of Laundry)”
How I’m learning to be me again — not just ‘Mom’, taxi driver, referee, and human bin. -
“How to Stay Sane When You’re Outnumbered”
(Spoiler: you don’t. But we can laugh about it together.) -
“The Honest Guide to Self-Care for Moms Who Don’t Have Time to Pee Alone”
Because self-care doesn’t always look like spa days — sometimes it’s hiding in the loo with a biscuit and just having a cry.
I want this space to feel like a chat between mates — the kind where you can roll your eyes, laugh at the madness, and admit you’re exhausted without feeling judged.
So, if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been… the answer’s simple: I’ve been living it. Messy, loud, emotional, hilarious life. And now, I’m ready to share it again — one brutally honest, slightly sarcastic post at a time.
Stay tuned — it’s about to get real (and a bit sweary).
💌 Before you go...
If you’ve ever read one of my posts and thought, “Yep, that’s exactly my life,” then stick around. Subscribe, comment, share your own chaos in the comments — let’s remind each other that we’re not alone in the madness.
Because if we can’t laugh about it, we’ll probably cry (and no one’s got time for another mascara incident).
