Vinted
If you’ve ever downloaded Vinted, scrolled for ten minutes, got overwhelmed, and closed the app — this is for you.
Vinted is brilliant, but only if you use it with intention. Otherwise, it’s just another place to accidentally spend money you were trying to save.
The first thing to understand is that Vinted rewards patience. The people who get the best bargains aren’t the ones panic-buying — they’re the ones waiting.
Start by searching for exactly what you need. Size first, then item type. Don’t browse endlessly. Once you’ve found a search that works, save it. Vinted will notify you when new items are listed, which means you’re not constantly checking the app and impulse buying things you don’t need.
Bundles are where the real savings are. Parents clearing out wardrobes are gold. If someone is selling multiple items in the same size, message them and ask about a bundle price. Most are happy to discount just to get rid of everything in one go. Five tops for a fiver is not unusual if you’re patient.
Condition matters — but perfection doesn’t. Kids clothes do not need to be pristine. Look for “very good” or “good” condition, read descriptions properly, and check photos. A tiny mark that disappears in the wash is not worth paying double to avoid.
Before buying, check seller reviews and how quickly they ship. You don’t need perfection — just reliability. And if something arrives and isn’t right, Vinted’s buyer protection exists for a reason. Use it.
Vinted works best when you buy ahead. Don’t wait until your child has grown out of everything. Buy the next size up while it’s cheap, put it away, and future you will feel smug and financially responsible.
Used properly, Vinted doesn’t just save money — it removes stress.
